| Customer Reviews: Comfort deluxe!!! July 12, 2010 heather (DELANCEY, NY, US) My 4 year old loves this carseat. We've had it for about 1 1/2 years. It should be named the Comfort Deluxe by Evenflo. It is easy to strap into the car and even easier to strap around the child. The many levels of straps allow it to grow with your child.
We have had 4 different car seats, all Evenflo, for the family members. Compared to the baby seat (Aura) which is like sitting on plywood this is a pillow top mattress. It is better than car seat number 2, which we still use, because it is a 5 point harness and booster seat combo. It is better than carseat number 3 (Triumph), which we still use as well, because it doesn't weight a ton and is so eay to get in and out of my 2 door vehicle. Also, the tightning and loosening of the straps is easier than the Triumph. The seat cover stays in place better than the one on the Triumph as well, and is easier to pop off to wash.
The only disadvantage is that there is no tilt settings (The Triumph has this). When the little one falls asleep it is difficult to keep the head propped up so they look comfortable. The tilt setting would help this situation.
Excellent car seat if you can find it on sale. September 15, 2009 Savy car seat shopper (NY) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a much better seat than people let on. Yes, it is not perfect, but when you can often find it for $50 it makes it very competitive. Installation is not that difficult if you read and understand the directions. The first time I installed it, it took me about 10 minutes to get it nice and tight. Once I learned to follow the directions exactly, I put my weight into the seat a bit and got the latch sytem attached tighter than any other car seat I've installed. I've since been able to install it in just a couple of minutes. The fabric of the seat is very nice, and looks to be durable. It is easily removable for washing. The arm rests when fully snapped in aren't completely ridgid, but they get the job done. The 5 point harness is no harder to adjust than any other car seat I've used in the past, so I don't get why people complain about this. I am able to adjust it on the fly with very little hassle. The belt mounted adjustment buckle is oddly placed, but hasn't be a problem for me yet. Overall, I think this car seat is very nice for it's price point, and easily competes with car seats in the $100 range.
