Product Description
The Cosco Alpha Omega Elite 3-in-1 Car Seat follows in the footsteps of its predecessors by combining safety and luxury. It is a convertible car seat which includes a 5-point safety harness and comfortable fabric. A key feature on the Cosco car seat is its no rethread technology. Parents have struggled for years rethreading the harness on the car seat after adjusting the headrest. The no rethread technology makes catering to the larger child a lot easier. 5 out of 5 stars Safety 1st Alpha Omega Carseat   March 10, 2009
Tyler's Mom (Kissimmee, Fl)
We purchased this Alpha Omega Carseat after our 6 month old was too big for his carrier. We had a Graco comfort Sport, but didn't like having to transport it from car to car. I didn't think it was the safest option. So I opted to buy the "Escalade" of carseats to have at all times in my car. We use the Graco for my husband's since the baby doesn't ride in it that often. We had a tough time installing it for the first time in Rear Facing- 07 Ford Escape, center position. The seat slants in and it was making the recline be more upright, which isn't cozy for a sleeping baby. We had to put 2 towels and a noodle, but it is very sturdy and doesn't move. It's very tricky. But once you get it in properly the first time, you won't have to mess with it for a long time. I have two friends, both with twins, and they both love this seat. They love the recline feature for the FF seat. The price online is much cheaper than from Babies R Us. So for us, it was a great investment. Also it was ordered on Monday and at the house on Friday.

Two thumbs up from over protective parents.

The seat is exactly what I was looking for. It got great safety reviews. I couldn't pass up the price! It was shipped quickly. It was easy to install and my son looks so comfortable in it.

4 out of 5 stars Great Forward facing carseat   February 22, 2010

First of all, I have not used this seat rearfacing ever. I purchased it once my daughter outgrew the seat that was part of a travel system. I love this carseat, and she does as well. I was recently rearended and pushed into another car (at high speed) and my daughter was ok, not a mark on her. I am going to buy her the same seat again now. The old one still looks perfecty fine (we've had it for 2 yrs) but after the wreck I am of course replacing it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the latch system hooks on this model (which are the same for the Graco Nautilus) are just very basic hooks and one of them bent soon after we got the seat and is somewhat of a hassle to remove. So, for forward facing use in only one car, where you are not inteding to switch the seat out a lot, it's a great choice in my opinion. One more note: when I first bought the seat, I thought I could use the recline for making her more comfortable on long rides to sleep but it is not to be used forward facing, unless you need to recline it to level it correctly.

3 out of 5 stars Rear-view experience   February 4, 2009

We purchased this seat because of it's flexibility to face forward or rear and could grow with our son. The problem we are having is that when we have the seat facing rear it is too vertical and if my son falls asleep his head has no support and ends up hunched over.

I have not tried the seat facing forward, but I'm hoping for a better experience.

1 out of 5 stars Bulky, Cumbersome, Difficult to Install   February 21, 2010

I really hate this car seat. It takes up way too much room. The only place we could fit it rear-facing and securely was behind the passenger seat. To do so we had to shove the passenger seat all the way forward so that means there is no room any longer for a front passenger. And even then the seat isn't reclined as much as the indicator says it should be (almost but not quite). I would have never purchased this seat. My mother bought it without consulting me and I used it because I'm broke. I have an incredibly small car and this is the worst seat for it. If I had an Escalade maybe there would be room. This thing is HUGE. Besides that it's difficult to get the baby in and out and adjust the straps. There is just nothing good about this thing.
