Funding Cycle I

In its first year, the CRP distributed over 8,000 Requests for Applications by combining various mailing lists from the Department of Health Services and the University of California, Davis and by contacting numerous agencies and experts.

Approximately 250 applications were reviewed of which the Cancer Research Council approved 95 grants totaling over $50 million.
